Citizen. Technologist. Family Man
Allen grew up in Newark, N.J., attending Catholic school through 12th grade. He received his undergraduate degree in History from William Paterson College and was the first member of his family to attend college. As a strong believer in continuous learning, he holds an MBA from New York Institute of Technology, and professional graduate certificates from Cornell University and the University of San Francisco.
Professionally, Allen is an innovative, results-orientated management and technology expert with more than 35 years of proven experience in providing technological solutions to complex business problems, managing people, and overseeing multi-million dollar budgets.
In the past decade, Allen has served on the Board of Directors of multiple nonprofit organizations, and has been a member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity for over 30 years. As an avocation he has worked as a college and high school basketball official since 2001.
Allen lives in the Centennial Hills section in northwest Las Vegas with his wife, Gail, a professional career coach. They are extremely proud of their two adult daughters who are pursuing their professional careers in Las Vegas and New York City. Allen and Gail are very happy having selected Las Vegas as their home after moving from New Jersey. They have found the city to be a great place to live, worship and work.
